Smaller Riding Groups
There will be no “Skedaddler” or “Rubbernecker” groups this fall. We wanted to shake things up a bit and try something new!
*EACH DAY* All riders that are not in pre-arranged private groups will be *Randomly* assigned to one of the many ride leaders when they arrive. Groups will be less than 7 vehicles (Rider leader + 6 Vehicles). This will allow each group to move at their own pace, traverse small towns/lights faster and easier as well as promote fellowship.
Mixed Riding Styles in each group
Each ride group will contain a mix of riding styles and drivers in each group will line up with the inexperienced drivers FIRST, then Casual drivers in the middle and Aggressive drivers in the rear. This significantly helps the ride leader keep everyone on time and comfortable with each drivers styles and allows each driver to be comfortable with their own style.
New/Casual drivers get the benefit of consistent speed and leader visibility while Aggressive drivers can speed up and slow down as they desire to “rubber band” as needed around curves for speed/thrills.
Two Route Paths
As usual, routes will be published in Google Maps & Rever. This year, all routes will come in a Primary clockwise direction and an Alternate counter-clockwise direction. Ride Leaders will be assigned Primary/Alternate routes before departure to minimize the smaller groups from “bunching up” as well as to encourage “happy passing” (when you pass another group of slingshots going in the opposite direction!)
Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt
On Saturday Oct 11th Riding groups will be participating in an all day Scavenger Hunt while they ride!
